December 12th and 13th
GMI is hosting a food drive for needy families in the Socal Area and Touraj is hosting a Massive 2 day 40k Battle.

We are asking for canned food donations and boxed foods sponsorships for the event.

Come and cheer the boys on as they battle for king of the food pile.   Wager can goods on the outcome and help us make this a GREAT holiday for some deserving family while you cheer/or jeer your favorite gamers on throughout the weekend.

Touraj is taking care of sign ups for the event itself, and participants only cost is a small bag of durable food items (cans & boxed non-perishible items).

Collection bins will be available all weekend at the store so if you simply want/or need to stop by and drop off items you can (no pun intended).

This is a great cause and I know that the gaming community has the heart to do this right.

One of my friends in Utah has challenged us in Southern California, as they were able to collect enough goods to feed 20 families.

The Warmachine community is also hosting a tournament on Sunday and will be also contributing goods to this drive.

Talk to your friends, your families and your gaming buds, and lets all come together on this!!

Any and all games at GMI that weekend are encouraged to participate in this, and it would be even better if any other stores or gaming groups want to help out on this can set up collection cans at their stores and events and bring their collections to GMI on Sunday, December 13th!!!

GMI are nice folks.  I enjoyed the two RTT's I played in there.

Is it OK to show for only one of the two days?

I believe that Touraj is organizing this on the scgwl.com board for the 40k event.  So go over there and ask questions or PM him here (I think he still has an account).

I know that I am running a Warmachine Mk II event on Sunday, so several events are going on at the same time.

If you cannot do a particular event, we are are encouraging a collection or game yourself, with Sunday being the final collection of material at GMI.
