Hey guys, this is unrelated to our campaign stuff, but I have been honing my speed painting skills and have done some army painting for some clients all over the country these past few years by selling one off pieces on ebay, and getting a ton of business from that. I have two current clients that are getting complete armies done just from buying, and liking the model they got off ebay. As it goes though, once an army is done, then the job is over.
So I just wanted you guys to know that if you need some painting done, I can help you out. Some of you may have seen some of my stuff at G.E. My two wickedly custom sculpted nurgle daemon princes, as well as my cool forgeworld khorne chaos marines army. I do custom sculpting, and conversion work. If you guys, or someone you know needs some painting, send me a PM. You can check out some of my stuff on coolminiornot.com. Search "roy rogers" Thats me.
I am going to talk to Cliff at GE to see if I can display some figures so people can check out my stuff, and maybe leave some business cards as well. Any interests, let me know Grin Peace !

Hey there Guys,

I was thinking maybe we could do an eye of terror campaign next. The idea would be a world that a bunch of chaos warbands are fighting for. No good guys in this one, maybe just chaos marines, Demons, and orks?

Just an idea but what do you guys think?

The only bad idea is the one not spoken...  This campaign group is always looking for something interesting and we are all good sports enough to try out any good idea.

While this is not a bad idea, it brings up questions:

1.  Who would run it?
2.  Not everyone has an evil-aligned army.  As for Orks, they are not known to be kroozin' the warp like other races do- would they really fit into the Eye Of Terror theme?
3.  Besides just a slaughter-fest between evil armies, would there be a theme or goal (other than dominating by having more campaign territories or points)?  A story-line-after some kind of relic perhaps?
4.  Would Dark Eldar be included (they are eeevil too)?

Interesting idea Lee.  Eye of Terror was my first League game and the nostalgia is definately peakin' me interest. Wink

Great questions from Greg as always.

Regarding question 2, I'd add a concern that restricting armies to chaos might bring in the monotony factor.  Especially since Khorne armies are represented at a ratio of 4 to 1 compared to the other chaos powers.

I'm not entirely clear if you were suggesting we be that specific in army choices.  As I recall Eye of Terror was 'good guys' v. 'bad guys' or Eldar, Tau, Imperium v. Chaos, Dark Eldar, Nids, Orks, and Necrons.  If it is this, Greg's suggestion of a "story-line" campaign might work well.  A tree-campaign where each player's win/loss effects the battles of the next week and get scored collectively could be a great way to go - a 40k version of the Biggest Loser.

Or we might expand the armies permitted by having players declare for a particular Chaos power and thereby gain access to gifts and units of that god.  For instance, a Tau player gets a unit with Sonic Weapons for declaring Slaanesh as their patron.

But if it is simply the 'evil' armies (I've always thought of the loyal Space Marines as evil Evil), I'd again look to Greg's question 2 as being a major concern.  Joel has Chaos, I'm building one, Byron, Wilson, Kurt; I think that's all that do.

Just brainstormin'... Grin
