From an outsider's point of view, a battle can really swing the gold value.

Joel and Bryan fight- Joel wins.

Joel gets 20 more gold, Bryan loses 10 gold.

Joel jumps 30 gold ahead of Bryan in one fell swoop.  Ouch!

Check out the rules on WAGER.  I think you'll get a real kick out of it.

I wish I could jump into the Kurt v. Joel battle and wager on... I won't say.  (Although, I do love that Count Chocula cereal.)

Seriously though, good to see the fantasy campaign taking shape.  I'm here to follow along and cheer on my, uh, I mean my Battle-Bro's, army.  Praise be to Quetzl!!

I must say though, this campaign map is much harder to follow along than your 40K maps.  I need to go read the campaign rules, maybe it would make more sense then.

Yeah, it's a bit more complicated translating what's goin' on visually, but it's actually pretty basic if ya know that we're not fighting for territories, so much as gold.

Each person moves (arrows).  They can build along the way (hammer).  Winning/losing, buying ships, extra moves are purchased/spent anywhere in between. The Forts and Castles bring in gold. 

The yellow hexes are battles.

I hope you are doing well in Italy Greg, I now understand why you posted at 3 in the morning San Diego time.  If I remember correctly Italy is either 9 or 10 hours ahead.  Greg maybe I won't pay you with real gold maybe I will just buy you lunch if you attack Kurt.  Ha ha.
