Dragonlady, how about we put you as D-Angels for the good guys?

Brynolfr, how about bugs for you to even the teams out for now?

If anyone out there has a preference, feel free to sign up for that.  I'm sure between now and then, the teams will get a little lopsided, but in the end, I'm sure we'll get 8 per side.

Question on 4000 points per player and only 20% can be superheavies, that places a limit of 800 points of heavies:

A reaver titan is from 1250 to 1500 points per titan.

A Hierophant is 1250 for nids

So are we eliminating Titans and Hierophants from the game??

I'm surprised given that at 4000 that is a pretty large list.

I would have expected the limitation to be closer to 40% of a players stuff.

Did you mean Warhound, or Reaver?  Just curious as I haven't been able to buy apocolypse yet and was wonder which was more expensive.

This is Greg's deal, but personally at this level I would not put a cap on Superheavies.  4000pts of normal stuff makes for an VERY LONG turn...however if 2000+ points is in 1-2 superheavies....makes things go alot faster.

Hmmm.... all good points.

The original line of thinking was that each side's total could be no more than 20%, which means that if someone on your team does not take a superheavy, then that means another person can  bring a larger titan.

However, we could make it easy and faster (like Kurt said) by increasing the limit PER PERSON, that way the team does not have to figure out who's got what...

So, how about this:  Each player can bring no more than 1500 points in Super Heavies.  Any objections?

Warhound is the entry level Titan.

Reaver is the next bigger one.

Warlord is the big boy, but I don't know anyone who has one or has built one.

A reminder that this megabattle is to fought using the out-going 4th edition rules, sort of a "good bye 4th edition" battle.  I mention this only because 5th edition is beginning to make an appearance...

I get the feeling that no one is signing up because they feel SJC is too far of a drive.  If I could hold this event in SD, I would, but only Dragonlady has come up with a room large enough to do this event.

There is always GE, but it would be in late July, and we'd have to deal with the crowds, distractions, and store hours.  If people are willing to deal with those things, and if I could get the store opened up early enough, then I can plan a megabattle in July.

Who would be interested if I hold it at GE?

I've gotten a number of PM's saying the same thing- SJC is just too far, and none of the LA/Riverside county players have contacted me either, so I'm going to cancel the June 14 Super Battle.

I just got off the phone with Cliff.  I've reserved half the store (Game Empire) for July 12, kick off at 9.  I'll get there at 8 and begin setting up, but players that are interested can enroll via email or PM and then show up at 9, ready to rumble hopefully by 9:30.

That a shame.  It realy ins't that far, but gas prices are bad right now.

We really need to find a hall in San Diego we can use.  May-be we'll have to build one...j/k.  Wink
