Cool beans.  10 people have signed up so far, according to Bob.

It's not on the front page, 'cause I didn't ask anyone to place it there; my bad, I guess.

I saw the flyer at GE, and it looks like an fun concept.  I'm a little unclear on one thing, however: am I starting with a model I have, and then using the kit to modify that, or just building a model completely from scratch.  And if it's the former, the model I'm using can't be more than half of the end result?

     A - Either.

     2. It's a general guideline.

i.) It's about your conversion skills, not which model you choose.

  • Hope that helps!

My idea looked great in my head!  Shocked

But now...  Undecided

I'm struggling, to say the least.  Worst part is, since we have to use the bitz given, when I mess something up, I have to re-use the bitz.  That's extremely difficult to do especially if it was already shaped and glued.  Tongue

I've got the basic shape of mine together, but it needs details to bring t to life.  That and a little hair of the Aaron, some blood of the wild Jesse and a pinch of Vaca dust.  Wait, wrong forum.   Evil

Well, mine's done.  I know it's still quite early, but is there a time and place I should drop it off (for pre-judging or anything)?  Or do I just bring it on May 15 to GE?  That's a Thursday...  Is that still Judgment Day?  Or do you want to move it to that weekend?

The 17th was the corrected date; I'm sorry about the confusion there.

Cliff's case looks full; I have not requested any space be set aside, although if you talk to Carlos next Saturday, he might be able to find some room somewhere.  Otherwise, hang onto it until then.

Sound fair/good/stupid?

Time's running out, hope you guys have your conversions almost done!  Mine is done, in fact, it has been really hard not to prime and start painting it!!!!  I hate unpainted minis!  I'm been using it in my beastman army and it is the only unpainted mini in the army.  It hurts us!!

I've purposely kept my model of the gaming table because it's unpainted...

So, do we have to be present for the judging?  Our 40k campaign is over, and I didn't really have plans to hang out down there.  If anything, I was hoping to do some playtesting of our GD table on 17 or 18 May (at Wade's house?).  But if I gotta be present for judging, then I'll adjust...

I cannot be present for judging, as I'll be in DC on business.  I'll be dropping it off tomorrow.

If you can drop it off at GE, I'll be there Saturday to figure that stuff out - talk to Carlos - he should know where it can be held until then.

There is some room in the fig cabinet I'm sure we could use. Maybe a little sign saying "Entrees" too. Cliff or Bob will be happy to help out I'm sure, and I will call them tomorrow.

I left my monstrosity in the cabinet, with my name and number.  I'll be playtesting our GD table on Saturday at Wade's house, so I won't be present for judging.  Please call and let me know how badly I did...  Tongue
