A little bird tells me that some people have already started talking about how they plan to take home the prizes from the Broadside Bash. Although I should remain impartial, my money is on the boys from San Diego. I think they best, friendliest and best painted armies come from San Diego.

CK,
You are talking about the WFB side of it right?  You can't be talking about the 40K side, do they even play 40K down in San Diego anymore?  Other than a few local RTT's have the San Diego 40K'ers won anything lately?  I am looking on the Grand Tournament Circuit and I do not see any SD names.  I don't recall any SD guy going to Baltimore for the Ardboy, do you?

Real men bring it to you face to face in WFB. Throw down or get slapped down... getting first turn and shooting your enemy from a distance in 40k is for girlymen.

(p.s. actually our Ard BoyzzzZ Champ by the name of GZ on this forum would have taken the whole thing, but luck would have it for his opponents, he was called away on business.)

In response to Darrian's query:

LVGT: Best Painted places 1 and 2 (40k)
Player's Choice (40k)

I won't go into the fantasy category.... Wink Cool

Yeah, well some of us 40K players had families in the last several years, so well, free time hasn't existed.

But we'll be there!!!

Well, my "2 cents" is that I'd expect Rich (Qrab) to win something for his always gorgeous Nurgle type Armies!

I also expect to see some GREAT games (or hope to at least!) as Stefan Viter, Steve Masuta, Robert Felix, Kraig Beaver, and quite a few other top players will be there!

Should be interesting to see the Judges scores for Army Comp as well! Will the pairings in Round #1 be by this, or just the normal random set up?

As for 40K, much love to you Darrian! You're a 40K killin' machine, and trophy/plaque collector! I'll start playing in May, but only Apocalypse style games...then you and I can get it on!

I liked this setup so much at the Slaughter, that we will indeed be pairing Round 1 by Comp alone, Round 2 by Battle+Comp and round 3+ by Battle.

Much thanks for the compliment Kurt! I'm painting up an entirely new Army (well, mostly) for the Broadside Bash...have a lot of models, might as well try to finish painting them!  Cheesy

Oh, is it 5 games or 6 games?

Vaca will be there (or at least that is what he said last time I talked to him) and he is a force to be reconned with...him and Jason both.  Jeff is working on a new army of which no one has yet seen...that means its really good! Kiss

I believe Vaca said his army had something to do with "Crud?"  Not sure what that means, but I know it was looking awsome when I saw some of his conversion prototypes.
