In order to insure that the most number of people are able to attend and have a good time, we have withdrawn the person from attendance. We hope that in the future you will be able to give this person as 2nd (or 10th) chance at redemption.

Ahhh...I'll be meeting up with Mike (Garner) who's the Commish of the SoCal GW League, and we have much to discuss, but the Broadside Bash attendance is one of them...he was very skeptical about "His" playing in it, and now I'm sure this will help sway things in a much brighter favor! I'm already in like "Flynn", and hope I can draw many more to join as well!

If I register for Fantasy, I am debating if I should go with my Orcs or should I go back to the well and brake out my Dark Elves? I just go a fresh infusion of Corsairs and Witches and with winter break coming in a few weeks, I could definitely have them painted.
What do you all think?

WFB! Either army. I'd like a nice friendly first or second round game before the pummeling begins on game 3.

Hey Darrian! For the SoCal GW League playoffs, Jim Zaphirou and I played a "gentlemen's" game, and both agreed to bring normal lists, nothing tooled out and unfun to play against. We met up at Ontario GW, got some Starbucks, chatted about life and Warhammer for an hour or so, then went in and got our scrap on! It was an extremely fun game, though frustrating a bit because my dice hath abondoned me (AGAIN!) and did the worst rolling I've seen in a while...while Jim's dice had a telepathic link to him! Anything he needed, he got from them! LMAO! Ratling Guns consistently did 11 hits each time, 4 times in a row!!! In the end, I was happy to loose to Jim, and let him go on into the next round of the playoffs, as my workschedule wouldn't allow me the time/days off to get my games in anyway...a great trouncing I did recieve! Oh, as a side note, I've been voted on to the Rules Committee for Fantasy in the League! Hey, who says I'm tainted??? I'm much more then that! Sgt. S, I've seen your Greenskins in action, I'd personally love to see your Dark Elves bringing it!

Since I got no love on the WFB thread, I thought I'd post here. This is about 2300 pts. Help! Observations, critiques and suggestions are always welcome Characters: High Sorceress Lvl 4 Assassin w/ two wpns and 50 pts of Khaine stuff DE Noble on Cold One Core: 2 x Dark Riders w/ Repeater bows(5) DE Warriors w/ repeater bows, full cmnd (16) 2 x Corsairs w/ full cmnd (20) Special: Shades x 8 Witch Elves w/ full cmnd and hag gear (15) Cold One Knights w/ full cmnd (9) Rare: 2 x Repeater Bolt throwers The Cold One Knights may get reduced down, or the Witches may get snuffed all together in order to get down to point limit and get some juicy wargear action going. As usual, my DE army is very small . Any ideas?

Hail dark kin, though your nothing but Druchii scum, I was looking at your magic protection plan. Is that going to be enough? More than half of the attendees are gonna have HEAVY magic, so a scrolll caddie might be needed.

I don't know much about them and how to optimize a DE army, but I'd say reduce the cold ones down to 5 or 6, so that you run 6-7 wide. No need for the rank and the points it takes to get a rank, when you can have lots more attacks by going wider. A few scrolls would be good too.
So, is it true that lots of players will be playing heavy magic? Shall I be switching to LM so I can use my Gen2 Slann?!

The Assassin sucks at the moment, so I never really recommend taking him.
Personally, I'd go with a lvl 4 and a lvl 2 with a Beastmaster on Manticrutch. Kit the Sorceresses out with some standard stuff - Wand of the Kharaidon, Darkstar Cloak etc. - for killing/support. The Beastmaster flys around with a lance and magical armor protection, forcing Terror checks and acting as a moble kill provider for the less hard-hitting troops.
Generally, try to stay mobile and bring troops that complement each other. I prefer an MSU approach as well to spread the field, since the army is decently fast and elf-spensive. Two units of 5 Cold Ones are going to be able to kill and support better than one large block with a target sign on them, for example.

Two units of 5 Cold One Knights will really be a great addition!!!! Course not against High Elfs as that would just be unkind

It sounds like you all are telling me to drop my Witches and Shades in favor of another unit of Cold Ones. I like my Assassin, it has killed a treeman before! I think I may experiment with a brick of Druchii w/ spears and shields and the extra cold ones.
I want to stay at 3 characters, so maybe Lvl 4, Lvl 2 scroll caddy and assassin?

It sounds like you all are telling me to drop my Witches and Shades in favor of another unit of Cold Ones. I have no clue where you read that, but cool. Anyway, I like Witch Elves and Shades. Witch Elves are quite nice at butchering weaker troops and large infantry (ogres/minos/etc.) since they tend to have no armor and strike last due to Great Weapons. Plus they're crazy, half-naked chicks. Everyone likes elf-porn. Shades are nice for marchblocking, taking out light cav and redirecting.
